Working Principle of Electronic Scales


When an object is placed on a scale, pressure is applied to the sensor, which undergoes elastic deformation, resulting in a change in impedance. At the same time, the excitation voltage is used to change and output a simulated signal of change. The signal is amplified by an amplification circuit and output to an analog-to-digital converter, which is then converted into a digital signal for easy processing and output to the CPU for operational control. The CPU outputs this result to the monitor based on keyboard commands and programs. Until this result is displayed.


The weighing sensor converts the detected physical weight into a non-standard voltage signal and outputs it to the weighing controller. In industrial automation, four weighing modules are commonly used, while large weighing scales have eight weighing modules. Although the number of modules used in different fields varies, their functions and wiring methods are basically the same.


How to Connect the Electronic Scale to the Computer?

1. Connect the DB9 9 Pin end to the RS232 data output socket behind the electronic scale, and the other end to the nine core socket behind the computer.


2. After checking the connection, open the computer and electronic scale separately.


3. Steps for connecting the weighing data of the electronic scale to the computer: Click on "Start" - "Program" - "Accessories" - "Communication" - "Super Terminal" in the bottom left corner of the computer with the mouse, and the connection description dialog box will appear.
