LED Daisy Chain Control Cable for Modular Grow Light
Led Daisy Chain Control Cable
LED Daisy Chain Power Cable
LED Light Bar Daisy Chain Cable
LED daisy chain control cable used with the modular grow lights. It allows multiple lights (up to 8) to be connected and run off the same programming settings provided by the controller.
Why can't LED lights be connected in parallel?
What is the difference between series and parallel connection of LED lights?
The inherent characteristic of LED lights is constant current drive, and it is very sensitive to voltage changes. If multiple LEDs are connected in parallel, the current and voltage distribution will be uneven, which will easily cause some LEDs to change in brightness or burn out.
1. Advantages and disadvantages of LED lights in series
When LED lights are connected in series, the current is still constant, and the voltage increases with the number of series connected. Series connection can reach a higher voltage, which is suitable for some applications that require high voltage drive. But after being connected in series, if one of the LEDs has a problem, the entire series circuit will be affected.
2. Advantages and disadvantages of parallel connection of LED lights
When LED lights are connected in parallel, the current and voltage of each LED are the same, so the brightness is more uniform. However, when connected in parallel, the voltage remains constant as the number increases, which can easily lead to excessive current and burn out the LEDs, so it is often necessary to add a current limiting resistor.
3. Application difference between series and parallel
Applications for series and parallel connections vary. The series mode is more suitable for situations that require higher voltage drive and uniform brightness, such as LCD backlight, etc.; while the parallel mode can be applied to situations that require high light output, high power, and a small number of lamp beads, such as high-brightness flashlights, etc.
