What is the wiring method of the CAN bus plug T-type three-way connector?

 


External disturbances, such as electromagnetic disturbances caused by other electrical loads, must be considered.

 

Pay special attention to the occasions where high-power motors are running or other occasions where the voltage on the power supply line is likely to change when the equipment is switched on and off.

 


If it is unavoidable to run parallel to the power supply lines with strong voltage changes similar to the CAN-bus bus, the can bus can use a twisted pair with double shielding.

 

The characteristic impedance of the used transmission line is about 120Ω. Due to the use of the CAN-bus connector, the characteristic impedance of the CAN-bus may change. Therefore, the characteristic impedance of the cables used cannot be overestimated.

 


The resistance of the cables used must be low enough to avoid excessive line voltage drops affecting the receiving device at the end of the bus. In order to determine the line voltage drop at the receiving end and avoid signal reflection, a terminating resistor needs to be connected at both ends of the bus.
