The CoaXPress (abbreviation: CXP) standard was originally launched by six companies in the field of industrial image processing to develop a fast data interface and enable the transmission of large amounts of data over longer distances

 

VISION is the top exhibition in the field of industrial image processing. The first CoaXPress interface was unveiled at VISION Stuttgart in 2008.

 

After more than three years of research and development, CXP 1.0 was finally officially released as a new standard in 2011.

 

Last year, the standard was further developed to CXP 2.0, which was officially launched and released at VISION 2018.

Interfaces using the CoaXPress 1.0/1.1 standard support data transfer rates up to 6.25 Gbps, while the CoaXPress standard is twice as fast, up to 12.5 Gbps.

 


CoaXPress commonly used plugs and sockets: CoaXPress 1.0/1.1 uses BNC and DIN 1.0/2.3, while the new CoaXPress 2.0 standard uses plugs based on the Micro BNC standard.
