What is CoaXPress ?

What is CoaXPress  ?

CoaXPress is an asymmetric high-speed point-to-point serial communication digital interface standard

Transmission speed up to 6.25Gbps, transmission distance over 100m

CoaXPress interface features: large amount of data transmission, long transmission distance

In terms of interface standard selection in the field of high-performance, high-speed, long-distance image system applications, CoaXPress quickly emerged as a top competitor

The Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA), which adopts the CoaXPress high-speed digital interface standard in the imaging field, announced that the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) and the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) support CoaXPress, which is now a world standard according to the G3 protocol.

CoaXPress is an asymmetric high-speed point-to-point serial communication digital interface standard. The standard allows the device to be connected to a data acquisition device in a host computer or computer via a single coaxial cable, transmitting data at speeds up to 6.25Gbit/s.

Given the ability of CoaXPress to transmit image data and metadata over multiple channels, the device does not have to be a single camera, but can also be an interface device that connects data between digital cameras.

CoaXPress (CXP) is a coaxial asymmetric high-speed serial communication standard, a digital interface specification developed for the machine vision industry.

The standard's high-speed, high-bandwidth data transfer capability is an ideal solution for machine vision applications that require high-resolution imaging and fast transfer of images to a host computer.
