What is LC to LC fiber cable?

LC is a kind of optical connector, the full name is Lucent Connector. It got its name because the LC connector was originally developed by Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel-Lucent) for telecom applications. It features a tab mechanism with a connector body that resembles the square shape of an SC connector. Similar to SC-style connectors, LC fiber optic connectors are easy to insert or unmute, providing a secure, precisely aligned fit in accordance with TIA/EIA 604 standards. Until now, it is still one of the most popular fiber optic connectors in the fiber optic market.

Available as one-piece or multi-piece: LC connectors are available as pre-assembled one-piece or multi-piece connectors. Pre-assembled connectors can reduce assembly time for on-site installation, while multi-piece connectors are more suitable for factory assembly.
