What is LC to LC fiber cable?

www.premier-cable.net

LC is a kind of optical connector, the full name is Lucent Connector. It got its name because the LC connector was originally developed by Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel-Lucent) for telecom applications. It features a tab mechanism with a connector body that resembles the square shape of an SC connector. Similar to SC-style connectors, LC fiber optic connectors are easy to insert or unmute, providing a secure, precisely aligned fit in accordance with TIA/EIA 604 standards. Until now, it is still one of the most popular fiber optic connectors in the fiber optic market.

What are the characteristics of LC connectors?

So what features must an LC connector have to stay ahead in the market? Due to different applications and manufacturer preferences, not all LC connectors are created equal. However, LC connectors still share some common characteristics:

Small form factor: LC connectors are half the size of conventional connectors such as SC, FC and ST connectors. The compact and simple design enables LC connectors to be deployed in high-density applications.

Low Insertion Loss Performance: LC connectors feature six-position tuning to achieve extremely low insertion loss performance by optimizing the alignment of the fiber core.

Available as one-piece or multi-piece: LC connectors are available as pre-assembled one-piece or multi-piece connectors. Pre-assembled connectors can reduce assembly time for on-site installation, while multi-piece connectors are more suitable for factory assembly.

The role of DeviceNet terminal resistor

DeviceNet_network is a fieldbus network protocol based on Controller Area Network (CAN). In the DeviceNet network, the terminal resistor plays the role of compensation and protection for signal transmission. The function of the terminal resistor is to eliminate signal reflection and interference and ensure the signal transmission quality.
